Day 4

June 4, 2005

Today was the first easy/off day of the trip. I was originally planning on hanging out in Sisters but I figured I’d get up the road and cover a little ground. I rode up to Redmond, just 20 miles up.

I broke down camp, made my way over to the bike shop, picked up a new quick release pin for that front wheel, went back to the Deli, had a nice “Denver Scramble” for breakfast, found a potty, threw on my cute little cycling outfit, got on the steed, and came to Redmond, found the prestigious Village Squire Motel, checked the price, checked in, rested, called a few people, showered a much needed shower, went up to the Sentry Supermarket, bought some fried chicken, came back to “Le Squire” as I’ve fondly come to know it, ate the chicken, did some laundry, rested again, turned on the Pistons game, and began updating the journal.

I'm off to bed shortly. I have another pretty big hill ahead of me tomorrow amidst a 60 plus mile day.

I only took two pictures in Sisters, the first pic is the better of the two and it really doesn’t do anybody any justice – I’ll do better next time, I promise. And the second picture was taken to commemorate the highlight of my night…

Today: 22.02 miles Total: 205.79
